Started in 1965 Germany, Scorpions have experimented with many different sounds ranging from hard rock to heavy metal. While the band has gone through many stylistic and lineup changes over the years, their most successful run was from 1978 to 1992, specifically with the albums Blackout in 1982 and Love at First Sting in 1984. With massive, commercially successful singles like “No One Like You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” Scorpions were one of the biggest non-American rock acts of the 1980s. Their song “Wind of Change,” a song tackling the difficult subject of the fall of the Berlin Wall, is one of the highest-selling singles of all time.
