Cage the Elephant is a rock band that formed in Bowling Green, Kentucky before relocating to London, England before the release of their first album. Their self-titled debut effort in 2008 was met with commercial success, and it spawned many successful singles, all drawing from various elements of classic rock, funk, and blues music. Their second album, 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday moved away from that sound and into a more punk rock/grunge-inspired sound. Their next two albums, 2013’s Melophobia and 2015’s Tell Me I’m Pretty both earned them Grammy nods, with Tell Me I’m Pretty taking home the Grammy for Best Rock Album. Cage the Elephant continues to write and tour today.
