Drawing from the genres of black metal and death metal, Poland’s Behemoth is one of the most interesting bands to come from the metal scene. The band’s first few albums showcased a group trying to find where they fit in the scene. But since 1999’s Satanica, the band has created their signature sound, including Middle Eastern-tinged layered vocals and found their groove lyrically, focusing on occult and themes of spirituality. Behemoth has released 11 studio albums, including their most recent effort, I Loved You at Your Darkest in 2018. They are still touring today and show no signs of slowing down as one of the most impressive metal bands of all time.
