Foghat is an English rock band formed in 1971. Foghat rose to popularity through their use of electric slide guitar in their music. Traditionally, this practice remained strictly in blues music. Foghat’s innovation with this technique brought them a lot of respect as musicians. Finding their peak success in the 70s rock and roll scene, Foghat continues to tour today, despite numerous lineup changes over the years. Foghat was a very successful band, currently holding eight Gold albums and one Platinum.
