Born out of the Jersey Shore, Bruce Springsteen, aka The Boss, is one of the most recognized singer-songwriters of all time. From both his solo work, and his work as the leader of the E Street Band, Springsteen is highly regarded for his poetic, Bob Dylan-esque lyrics, distinct vocals, and high-octane live show. Springsteen is highly decorated, having accumulated 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and most recently, a Tony Award for his Broadway show. He has sold over 64 million albums in the USA alone, with successful albums like 1975’s Born to Run and 1985’s Born in the USA finding success with their lyrical focus on the daily life of an average American. Springsteen built his entire image as a proponent and member of the American working class. Springsteen continues to make music today.
