British rock group Queen is from London England and formed in 1970. The founding members are Freddie Mercury (lead vocals & piano), Brian May (lead guitar player & vocals), Roger Taylor (drummer & vocals) and John Deacon (bass guitar player). Queens record sales have been estimated to be between 150 to 300 million and their 1977 album "News of the World" contained the classics "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" which have become anthems at sporting events around the world. Queen's final concert with the original members took place August 9th, 1986 at Knebworth Park in England. In 1991 Freddie Mercury passed away from bronchopneumonia, a complication of the disease AIDS. In 2001 Queen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2003 all four members were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
