Joe Bonamassa started playing guitar at age four, encouraged by his father, a passionate music fan. Joe grew up listening to British blues guitarists like Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, Bonamassa had become so remarkable a player that he was invited to open for B.B, King. His first studio album A New Day Yesterday appeared in 2000 and features both original tunes and covers of such artists as Rory Gallagher and Jethro Tull. Greg Allman plays on "If Heartaches Were Nickels” on the album, which reached number nine on the Billboard Blues Chart. Three of his studio records hit number one on the Billboard Blues Charts between 2002 and 2006.
