The Jim Marshall Gallery

At rockteeshirts.com, we have a rock t-shirt collection with photography by the late Jim Marshall. His influence on almost five decades of rock photography is undeniable. It’s hard to imagine what it was like to be there in the 60s and 70s without his pictures to remind us or show us why it’s worth remembering. He not only had a good eye, as his pictures of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar and Johnny Cash’s breakthrough concert at San Quentin proved, but his style captured the action and the spontaneous enthusiasm of performances by musicians at the top of their game.

Before he died in 2010, his photographs had appeared on more than 500 album covers and even more had made it into the pages of Rolling Stone magazine.
