Formed in Glasgow in 2002, this Scottish band has quickly risen the ranks, becoming one of the most popular post-punk rock bands in the UK. Having been nominated for many Grammy awards and also received two Brit Awards, Franz Ferdinand has been a force in the alternative music landscape for almost two decades. A majority of the music made by Franz Ferdinand, along with their album covers and music videos, is inspired by the Russian avant-garde art movement. The band has released five albums to critical acclaim, including 2018’s Always Ascending.
