Born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, Eminem is one of the most successful and influential rappers of all time. After his first album and EP didn’t generate much noise outside of Detroit, Eminem was signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and released The Slim Shady LP in 1999. After netting the Grammy award for Best Rap album, Eminem’s two follow up records, The Marshall Mathers LP in 2000 and The Eminem Show in 2002 were massively successful, both being certified diamond in the US and winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album, making Eminem the only artist to win the award for three consecutive albums. Today, Eminem is amongst the world’s highest selling artists, selling over 220 million records worldwide to go along with his 15 Grammy awards.
