Dierks Bentley began his career in 2003, after working at The Nashville Network, researching old footage of country musicians. He was in great place to meet people and Capitol Nashville liked his music well enough to sign him to a contract. It turned out to be a good idea. The year he was signed, his self-titled debut album was certified Platinum with its follow-up. Both it and its follow-up in 2005, Modern Day Drifter did the same, making him a rising star and a fixture in the industry. His albums have included 25 singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. 15 have reached number one.
