Dead Kennedys are one of the most influential bands to come out of the San Francisco punk rock scene of the late 70s. Characterized by highly political lyrics and vocalist Jello Biafra’s unmistakable voice, Dead Kennedys remain one of the most distinct punk rock bands of all time. With songs like “Kill the Poor” and “Holiday in Cambodia,” the band was no stranger to controversy. While the group split up in the late 80s, they reformed without Biafra. Dead Kennedys continue to tour, recruiting various vocalists along the way, but haven’t released any new music in decades.
