His self-titled debut, released in 2001, is certified Platinum and produced three Top 20 hits, including “Austin” which spent five weeks at the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His next two albums went gold and platinum, respectively. Shelton has 24 No. 1 singles in his career, and his record of 17 consecutive No. 1 singles shattered the record for most consecutive No. 1 singles in Country Airplay’s history. Shelton has been nominated for multiple Grammys and has gained a lot of popularity for his role in reality TV shows like Nashville Stars and The Voice.
