Formed by brothers Duane and Gregg Allman in Jacksonville, Florida, The Allman Brothers Band are one of the most significant influences on the Southern rock genre. By mixing southern country, blues, and jazz into their music, the Allman Brothers Band found their commercial breakthrough in what is regarded as one of the best live albums of all time, 1971’s At Fillmore East. After the death of founding member Duane in 1971, the band went on to create a legacy including two Grammy awards and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. They performed their final show on October 28, 2014, marking their 238^th straight sold out concert, a perfect end to a storied career.
